Body | The past pulls me out like a fishing hook And theres hunger (on which side?) And I’m caught pulling and ripping leaving trails of blood but it leads nowhere I’m slammed into an iron fence somewhere I can’t return but what is it? I don’t recognize the structure but did I truly forget? never I just can’t see it’s dark where you’ve led me And I just forget everything This iron gate and me But wait, it’s all underwater, isn’t it? I’m not a fish I don’t even know how to breath I’m submerged Death on both sides The present tense will catch up with me |
